Jennifer Brookes: Merry Christmas.
Eric Peterson: Rail is the primary means of transit in Tokyo. Instead of a really annoying buzzer or a whistle blown by the conductor, trains are usually accompanied by unique jingles just before they depart the station (immediately followed by a pre-recorded voice warning you that the train on platform X is closing its doors and that you should be careful). This is a medley of two such jingles you might hear if you were traveling around Tokyo, arranged from memory. |
