What are RSS feeds and how do I use them?

RSS feeds are a simple way for you to see when websites have added content. They allow you to know when bloggers, news organizations, and artists like us have posted new content to their websites without having to visit them. You can “subscribe” to an RSS feed in the same way you subscribe to a magazine and have a new one delivered to you each month. To get started using them, you’ll want an RSS feed reader. If you’re using a modern web browser (like the latest versions of Firefox, Safari, or even Internet Explorer), then you already have one. Click on your browser’s link to find out how to subscribe to our feed. We would also highly recommend Google Reader.

What is a podcast and how do I use it?

A podcast is like an RSS feed, but instead of text, you get an audio or video file sent to you. There are many podcast readers out there, but we recommend using iTunes to subscribe to ours. You’ll receive a copy of our video each week in your iTunes library, and you can even sync it to your video-capable iPod. If you have iTunes installed on your computer, click the first link below. It will open up the iTunes store, where you can click on the “subscribe” button. If you use another program to subscribe to podcasts, click the second link.
